Hey beetle
I reckon godfather had his stopwatch out on that one
(Hmm..Let's see how long it takes to get a bite?)
Next we women ( or maybe men also ) were expected to stick up for you over how much work it takes to run motels - while also studying etc etc.
I'd call it design-a-thread.
Am I right or am I right, godfather?
Or couldn't you possibly comment?
Remember the guy is pretty much a genius. He had a degree by the age of 15. And from what i've read of game coding prodigies (namely Carmack), they don't really like to play the games so much as to create them. The guy probably spends 80+hours a week coding and probably rarely plays the game - thats what beta testers are for (an even worse job).
The reality of game development is long hours, lots of work. You have to be smart and incredibly focused. You would get paid a relatively tiny amount for playing the game. And even then, wouldn't you get bored of playing the same game for at least 2 years?
