    Default Gaming online problems

Hi, i want to play age of empires 1(i know its old but its still fun, and its the only game all the mates have) against my friends online.
I have a crossover cable network running. 1 computer has xp sp1 and the other sp2. the sp1 comp has the modem.

but i want to play on the other computer.

but what happens is the game opens when starting to play then closes and wont let me join a game. and no one can join games that i host.

but i have found it is only my computer because they can join games between themselves but mine will not join.

    what is going on??

is it to do with the firewall, or is the game on the sp2 computer just not connecting to the net??

    can anyone help

Have a read of this and the part about using ICS. Also take a look at the firewall settings on the XP SP2 machine that you wish to use instead.
