Re previous mail in this regard. Removing Findfast PLUS allocating a permanent swapfile seems to resolve this. Windows arbitrarily decides to resize the swapfile occasionally which causes much disk activity, and Murphy typically strikes just as you are aproaching a fast corner.. Suggest a complete defrag HD first, then go to Control Panel, System, Performance, Virtual Memory. Check item 'Let me manage...' Set Min value to 0, Max value to 2x5 times physical memory (assuming you can afford the space). E.g. for 64mb set to 160mb, for 128mb set to 320mb (lesser values MAY suffice). Save & Reboot. It is well worth the effort.
