How to convert txt to reg file?

Howdy all,
I've done this before but forgotten how I did it.
I have a registry entry as a text file and want to convert it to a registry file so I can right click it and write it to the registry. When you have the text file open, I thought you went to "Save As" but the option isnt there for saving as a reg file.

Anyone know how?

just rename it as a reg file.

or in notepad

when savingas change the file type to any file and call it *anything*.reg

[mejobloggs]

sometimes when you save it you have to put it all in speach marks.
eg "anything.reg"

Otherwise it could call it this when it is saved, anything.reg.txt
