Default IE - www.w3.org

I'm using IE6 SP1 in XP Pro, and upon going to http://www.w3.org, instead of loading the page, it tries to download a file called "w3".

The problem is listed in the W3 FAQ (#13 at http://www.w3.org/Help/Webmaster), and it says to search your registry for 'application/xhtml+xml'... problem is, the closest match to that is 'application/xml'.

As far as I know, I also don't have any XML editors installed.

So does anyone know how to fix this?

I'd try changing that entry for XML that you saw. Though Mozilla is what I'd use in the first place.

I'm investigating installing another browser, but if there's a temporary solution I'd go for it.
