ram manufacturers

As part of an upgrade I intend to purchase 512 MB DDR SDRAM to replace existing 256 MB of same. Intend to purchase on-line from Ascent Technology (who have received good reports on this forum and other sources) but there appears to be a price variation of up to $100 between manufacturers. Is there "one best" manufacturer or is it a case of you get what you pay for. Who are the "better manufacturers" ??

As far as i know (which is NOT everything) Kingston, Mushkin and samsung should be allright..

Heard somewhere Geil ram isn't very good for overclockers
