Default Mozilla - where is the scrollbar?

I'm keen to use the Mozilla browser, but really like the scrollbar at the bottom of the IE screen (the one that shows details of a link before you click on it, or is sometimes used to give irritating messages that run across the screen on some web sites).

There must be a setting in Mozilla surely?

Try View --> Show/Hide --> Status Bar and see if it comes up at the bottom of the screen.
