It should say on the disk it self

I am guessing here but to what you posted above I think it is a "Full version " but might be wrong here.

Load it up and have a go. At the worst, it will want a win3.1 installation to upgrade from. If so, make a \WNDOWS directory, and copy "a file" (any file) to it as WIN.COM. Then try again.

ROFL I always wondered if that would work, but never got round to trying

I wonder if it works with later upgrades?

Works for W95. The inverse one if you have an OEM W95B, which doesn't want to "upgrade" W95A, is to delete or rename the WIN.COM file, or just use the setup in the W95 directory, rather than the one in the top-level of the CD. (It has to be able tio reinstall inseklf ). A similar one which annoyed me was a DOS6.22 "Full" version which didn't want to install on a disk which had DOS on it. That was easily fixed --- I just ^C- d out of the AUTOEXEC.BAT, which was starting the setup and installed by hand.

I don't know about the later Windows ... I'm not likely to buy any of them
