    Default Problems Running Lastest games

    Hello

I'm Have a Trouble Running a couple of games i have just bought,
Enter the Matrix, Hitman 2 and V8 supercar Race driver.
They install ok, but when you press start game the mouse cursor changes to a spinning cd then stops, and nothing else. And it's the same for all three games, the game just won't load!!.
I Was wounding if it would be may Graphics Card Which is a GeForce 4 with 128MB but it shouldn't be..
I've got a pretty new system with 1.2Ghz, 512Mb, 180Gig Hard drive, and Windows ME Operating system.

    Any help will be gratefull!!

i hate to ask this, but are they original or pirate versions? If they are the original versions then are u inserting the correct playdiscs e.g Enter the Matrix (ETM) has four discs and you must insert disc 4 to play or esle it wont load, it's reported that ETM has a lot bugs and needs heavy patching, i had to download a patch myself from my mate to get the graphics on my ETM to straigten out and the sound from mine was also out of sync. Have u tried re-installing those games? Could that be the mistake or is it something else?

    cheers,

Can you hear the CD drive actually spinning up after the disks are inserted? Have you got any other games that you have successfully run/played before and which are still installed? Do they work OK?

Are you running the latest version of Direct X
Go start > run & type dxdiag to find out what version you have. (9a is the latest) if you are still running 7 or 8 grab it off a PC World CD

Also might pay to update your Video Drivers from Nvidia.com.

I had this problem and once the Video Drivers were updated it all went away!!

    180GBs
make ISOs, they are far easyer than fooling round with CDs
download "Damon Tool" it mounts ISOs so its like having 1-5 extra CD-Rom/DVD drives
Use "Blind Write" to make the ISOs, if they don't have CD-CopyProtection i like "WinISO"

yeah, that is possibility, but if he instlled ETM than the game would have also installed DX9 along with it, unless he disabled the installation of DX9 while installing ETM.
