Default Photoshop 6 full. How to fix under/over exposed photo's.

Does anyone know how to fix photo that has been processed onto normal photo paper - have any tips to correct under and over exposed pics??

I accidentally left my SLR in full manual mode and folks used it thinking it was fully auto. A good 1/2 a roll was affected. I could scan, correct, save, and print it digitally from a store.

The negatives are likely to much more detail than prints taken from them, so the best bet would be to have the store scan them and make up a CD-ROM. Then work on resurrecting the jpegs instead of working on scans from poorer-quality prints.
