    Hmmff
I can't seem to get any good Google result's for nissan nivara 2.7. Despite trying all sorts of word combos.
I've got a small wirng problem. the rev counter keeps on spontainiously switching on 'n' off. & I am to dutch to have the workshop charge me $40 an hour to find the problem.I even tried pdf on the end of my word combo, but that was a bit daunting.

    Try Nissan Navara.

    Spelling can be so important.

    What OS is it?

Try "working" all the connectors. Those spade connectors are reasonably good, but I suspect that with small currents in them they'll be less reliable.

Go to a good library and see if they have a shop manual for your model.

If you have a reasonable understanding of electronics, it can be a DIY job.

I have a 3-series BMW, in which the speedo suddenly stopped indicating speed (the odometer worked OK).

    I priced a new one ($1,000)

Once I found out how to remove it (used Google and found a step-by step instruction) I made some measurements and quickly determined a capacitor had short-circuited.

One 20c capacitor later, the speedo was working fine again.

I wonder if the BMW service agents would have done that? (no)

I wanted to fit a CD player in my Honda Accord. The wiring to the existing stereo was not identified as to function, so I needed to determine which wires were for what function.

I found a site in the US which gave me all the colour codes for that model Accord. Worked fine apart from L+R being transposed whic is no big deal.

None of these sites were part of any formal vehicle service companies, but hosted by individual people, so you need to get inventive with tour use of Google.

Having said that I don't think you will easily find a schematic. The vehicle makers simply dont release them in most cases as they consider that the items are "not user serviceable"

If you have a BMW you're supposed to pay up with a smile.

Haven't you noticed that computers are a serious part of cars these days, Chris? (As well as exercise equipment, home appliances). It can only get worse.

I hear that the latest BMWs have several hundred microcontrollers (as well as a "joystick" controller which is the user fiendly way of handling 700-odd functions. Expect to see them veering off the road as the driver tries to change station on the radio.

Not really OT, but a better subject would have helped. Spelling has a huge impact on results.
I searched for Cheyenne Arcserve once and typed in Cheyanne and discovered it was the name of a native american porn star. Oops.
