Default OT (sort of) - Anyone not know about the Nigerian scam?

And is it just me or what? I must have got five new emails from people with lots of money last night. That was just on two email addresses.

I really think we need to track down the one idiot that responds to junk mail (enough to encourage the b*stards) and have him shot (would definitely be a man).

I think you'll have to reply to Nigerian people and try to get the money out of them. Atleast then you might find out who they are and can track them down and deal to them.

Have you read about Wendy Wilcox?
Susan did a post about it a few weeks ago. It's quite interesting the extremes that this person went to.

    It's definatly on the increase...
I've lost count of the wonderful opertunities offered to me by these people desperate for help.
I suppose that as the scam gets more known, it is nessesary to widen the net even more to find more fresh fools.

Yes, I did read that. About taking the pork bus to tuna town, it was surreal.

I just want to know how much they make out of this and do they ever get punished for doing it. It is a completely sad fraud, and only people without an internet connection wouldn't have heard of it. I got two from South Africa, one from a Nigerian Oil company, and two from the same guy from an unspecified location (it was an African bank somewhere) all over night in my inbox this morning. Even the most moronic newbie would smell a rat if they got five similar requests at once.

I vote we form an international brute squad to take out these idiots. If you support me, send $20 to the following address......

Oh god. that will probably be the next scam. How can it even be a scam when so many people know about it? Can't they at least watch "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and try something only 10% of the world knows about?

I can't believe that the nice guy would be running a scam. :0

Or do you have something against him since his Dad is a General and is VERY rich?

    Reality Check Time

Enough greedy and gullible people respond to these emails to make it a viable and indeed, profitable exercise robo.

One of the drawbacks to living on this planet is that we have to share it with people whose morality, scruples, standards of dress, business ethics, personal and dental hygiene, and all round "good guyness" do not match our own high standards.

    I am expecting my millions to arrive any day now :8}

    Cheers

Yet to receive ONE of those emails, whats wrong with me??!?!
Maybe they have access to my bank account as that would tell them that they are wasting their time with me.
