so long as the phone has been or conneted through an adsl filter there should be no problem

Basically Floyds, jetstream will not interfere with any phone service as long as the filters are in place to stop the jetstram signal being absorbed by phones, faxes etc, and the ADSL modem has access to the unfiltered line.

Jetstream is essentially carried "around the outside" of the phone cable, while dial-up devices use the actual copper cable itself. Not a highly technical answer, but the easiest to visualise.

Thats also why an ADSL modem cannot connect using "dial-up" connections, or send faxes.
