I have recently networked two PC's - one running XP and one running 98 SE.
They both communicate fine over the LAN.
I am running an ADSL modem on the XP machine (host) and have set up Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).
The host is connecting to the Internet without any problems.
I have set up the "Dial Up" as "sharing and firewalled".
The 98 PC (client) sees the "gateway" on the host and shows the icon in the systray as being connected.
I have set up the "Internet Options" in control panel using the setup wizard supplied by XP (on a floppy).
My problem - when I open Internet Explorer or MS Messenger it will not connect to the Internet - for some reason it will not see the Gateway that is there.
Any ideas on what I have omitted?
