Compaq Laptop Power Supply Alternative

MY wife has a compaq laptop in which the second new power supply has fallen over within 18 months!! Can anyone point me to an alternative power supply source who might supply a power supply to the following specs:

output voltage = 18.75
Output amps = 3.15

or alternatively someone who could build one if I send the old supply for "reverse engineering"!

That voltage and current is pretty generic for laptops these days. Toshiba appear to be 19v rated. Assume the supplies will be under warranty if 2 within 18 months? I would be writing to Compaq if it were me....
