E-mail print text size

Operating system is Windows '98
Internet/E-mail IE6

Except for the heading my E-mails print out in 16 point. I have checked and rechecked but cannot reduce the point size.

Hmmm...how are you using e-mail from IE6? Outlook Express 6 perhaps?

Are you saying that going to view-text size is making no difference, and are you only doing this in IE, and not OE?

They are different applications, (they may share some "features")

In Outlook Express - Tools/options/send/Tick plain text. Next Compose/mail font/settings. Mine is set on 9pt Aerial. It will be different if you use Outlook - the word 97 prog.

You can change the printer setup from the main window of Internet Explorer by selecting 'Printer Setup' or Page setup from the 'File' menu.

This also affects the print setting when using Outlook Express

When this window is loaded up the settings to use are also loaded up. You can change these settings by clicking on the button 'Update Settings' which is located at the bottom of the window. This will update the settings to use based on the current selection of font, font size, heading style and general layout

re Jim B response, my system (Win98SE & OE/IE 6) has different menu options.

FILE | PAGE SETUP does not have font specification.

VIEW | TEXT SIZE has relative options (ie Smallest thru Largest but not font or specific size options.)

These are shared between IE & OE so it can be a bit of a pain shuffling back and forth when different options suit the view you are taking at any given time.

I wonder - is there some REGISTRY specification somewhere ??

My error. E-mail is on Outlook Express. My attempts to adjust text size have been through all the recognized normal channels.

I have already carried out your advice several times. My setting is 10 point Arial but it does not equate with the 16 point E-mail printout

Have already tried to reduce print text size from the main window of Internet Explorer as well as through Outlook Express and every other option I could think of without success
