Please tell me how to change a file so you can share it across a network in Windows XP

    XP Home or Pro?

Pro can be tricky depending on your log-in status but Home is straightforward

Right click on the folder the file is in and select sharing. Answer the questions there. If you dont want to share everything in the folder, then put the file in a folder of its own.

Since no-one has come in on this, I'll give a response based on ignorance and duck.;-)

Right click on the file, and open its Properties page. That will probably have a "share" option in it.
