    Default PC Timer

I'm trying to find a utility that will run on WIN2K that will limit how long a child can spend playing games etc on a PC.
I've found a couple that will work with normal prgrams but my snag is that I'm using VirtualCd to run the games. With VirtualCd the games are cloned to the hard drive and a virtual cd drive is created to run them as if they were physically mounted into a physical CD. The few timers that I've found will not accept the VirtualCd shortcuts.
Another option would be to have a log off timer that will log the user off after a set time but I can't find any that will close the open programs correctly before logging the user off.
Any ideas would be gratfully received.

You can't beat a LOUD alarm clock and some (children's) discipline.

When the loud alarm clock goes off the child is to close their game down. An adult member of the house will hear the alarm clock and note whether the child obeys it or not. If child does, praise is given. If child doesn't, child is banned from computer for a couple of days.

Cheap and easy and VERY character building. ;-)

There's the traditional wet logic device: a parent.

You could possibly bodge up a scheduled event which starts a passworded screen lock. Should beat the average game fanatic kid for at least 2 hours.
