    Does anyone know how to password protect folders?

    I know how to passwrod protect zips and .doc's

    Thanks to anyone how can help.

    to password protect a .doc with Windows 98>>open the document you want to put a password on >save as>options>then down the bottom it says password to open, put your password in and hit ok, then save it again. Haven't used Winzip for ages so someone else has answer that one.

    Hi Daniel, if you cruise on down the page near the bottom - Alan Wilson had the same question and got heaps of good responses about 5 days ago - on 24/4/02 at 22.07 (just in case its disappeared off the bottom) stands out as its written in caps - Good luck, hope you find the answer there!

    If folders you want to password or encrypt, try PGP. If you want to create a virtual drive which has 128bit encryption try Scramdisk. Scramdisk is free for non business use and PGP was last time I checked.

    You could also password a folder using Winzip.
