    Default Quick Launch Toolbar & icons missing

    Hi

    My quick launch tool bar and its icons namely IE, OE and show desktop icons have disappeared from the task bar. I right click the task bar and >toolbars, then tick quick launch but error message says that windows cannot create toolbar here.

    How do I restore the quick launch toolbar and its icons?

    OS: Windows 2000 Pro

    Hi,

    I don't see why you can just go to:

    X:\Windows\Profiles\[profile name]\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer -x being your hard drive

    and just delete the current QUICK LAUNCH folder and copy e.g. administrator's quick launch folder instead?

    Probably will save you from doing the long way.

    Possible other way is using this:

    ------------------------------
    REGEDIT4
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    'ClassicShell'=-
    ------------------------------
    Copy all the contents inbetween the lines and paste it into notepad and go to SAVE AS .REG
