Yes, very sad, definitely a powerful/beautiful voice that echoed through my past and formative years, brings back lots of memories.

Tom Springfield, Dusty Springfield's brother, wrote many of her/Seekers hit songs.

Unfortunately, a lot of them are dying, we are all getting older . In their place is the modern pop music of today which I think is absolute shite! No tune , no instrumental accompaniment of quality. I go walking in the dark of very early morning and listen to music while I walk for 40 minutes. Of note this morning were "Stairway to Heaven", "Still Crazy After All These Years" and "On The Turning Away". Eddie Van Halen' solo in the middle of Michael Jackson's "Beat it" I doubt we will ever hear the quality of those songs composed in these days! Never mind, life's like that!
