They sent a pound of butter for NZ's 1st moon landing .(old 1980's joke)
Who would have though NZ would have its won space launch system . Shows what can be done for those determined to make things happen .
Oh poop.I was going to watch that, then forgot since the times were later at night. Oh Well never mind.
Would you see it down there? It was pretty bright but not a very big tail. Or, was it live streamed as opposed to my actual standing outside on a really cold night?
Ken
Live Stream. Doubt you would see much from Wgtn, "Maybe" a tiny bright light looking like a star going up.
Found the actual recording of the live stream https://www.rocketlabusa.com/live-stream/ The ACTUAL launch is at 59min into the stream, a LOT of jabber before hand.
One thing for sure the telemetry shown -- its a Moooooooooovvvvvving thats for sure![]()
Mahia launchpad, just across the bay from Napier. I go to Gisborne every so often with my son (to service machinery there) A lot of places between Wairoa and Mahia that would be great for viewing. Trouble being, you could make the trip up there only to find the launch was cancelled.

There is British tv show that's been running for 30 something years its a political satire type quiz called Have I Got News For You, most episodes are on Youtube anyway back in the 90's there was a rather large politician (can't remember which party) who kept agreeing to be on the show then pulling out at the last minute.
Not to be outdone they did the very next show with the team captain of the team he should of been on and a Pound of Lard on the desk as his replacement.
It drew the biggest audience ever when it got out what was going to happen.
Haha thanks, I get that now, although I fail to see the connection to a moon landing??there was a rather large politician (can't remember which party) who kept agreeing to be on the show then pulling out at the last minute.

Non-system disk or disk error. Replace and strike any key when ready.

It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche
