Ride the TGV from Rennes to Paris at 300KPH

I did it from Paris to Lyon on the way to Milan.

So smooth. Not like our rickety old things that we had at the time

I like how the train slows to 120KPH for track works.

We rode the Eurostar from London to the Gare du Nord in Paris (about 20 years ago) via the Channel Tunnel - 300kph - 2½ hours. And like the TGV (as psycik says) the Eurostar is very smooth. It is also very quiet. There was no swaying, as you might think, and it was very easy to walk down the aisle to the loo. We really enjoyed the trip.
