I have a part for a power tool bought from Amazon shipped from California which according to tracking will arrive today 9 days or 7 working days.

Amazon is amazingly fast with its deliveries.

So too is aliexpress now.

NZ Post delivery/delays is shite.

My package took exactly 3.5 days to get to Auckland from the US with UPS, then another 7 days from Auckland to Hamilton.

Bet any hold up will be once it arrives in Auckland Lately anything ordered from Aliexpress takes 10-12 days, takes longer to get from Auckland to Wellington than to NZ.

Yes. They idle in Auckland ... Something must be terribly wrong with Auckland's courier sorting center. Has been like this for quite some time.

I get the feeling, that everything in Aotearoa/New Zealand is imported!.

Of course most of the courier staff are not NZ people, because they don't know what FRAGILE means, we received some by-product of wheat and just as well it was double wrapped, as the carton was a shambles.

Auckland is not Aotearoa and should get it's act together!.

I think gst is kind of luck o the draw unless it's captured at source site (like amazon do now)

Mine arrived in Auckland 4 days from Sacramento then a day to Christchurch where it then sat for a further 4 days.

No extra charges for me as the part only cost $23 with shipping, same part here if I could have got it was going to be $36 for one. Amazon sent me 2.

Some products still attract import duties no matter what it cost . Most dont though .
Basically a tarrif to protect NZ manufacturers , a throw back to the 1970's .
