no sound in firefox

Have good sound in Edge and Chrome. Tests well in control panel. Re installed FF run in safe mode re booted etc still no sound in youtube or news video sites.
Win 11 Surface laptop internal speakers.
Audio and video enabled in FF
run trouble-shooters .. no change

Any clues please?

Have you tried the following ? sounds like ( no pun intended) FF is the problem. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...lay-any-sounds For Win 11 the mixer will look different but FF option is there. ( on right hand side under Apps.)

yeah fixed thanks I'm sure I looked there but it was muted ... how and why ??
