USB 3 to Gigabit ethernet hub

MyISB has increased myfiber speed fromby 100/20 fibre to 300/100.


I tried my ethernet port but only100.

I'musing high speed wifi but speedtest only says about 200.

Wouldone of these help?

My standard Speed test with a gig RJ45 Socket is approx. 900 Mbps With a USB3 to Ethernet it drops to around 300Mbp

Yeah it should work if you have a USB 3 port but a PC without gigabit ethernet and with USB 3 would seem unusual to me. If you have USB 3 I would expect your ethernet port to be a gigabit one.

Is your ethernet port connected directly to the router or through a switch? Have you tried a different cable ? is your machine pretty old ?

I'm thinking maybe something else is dropping your speed back to 100M rather than the pc itself.
