Same here. However I might go to the Crapple Dark Side - IF - it could record Freeview programmes (mainly news) so that I could fast forward through the adverts and sections we do not want to watch. AFAIK the only type of unit that can record are DVRs - with hard drives.

Looks like there's at least two Versions / Options.
I know you can actually purchase the Current decoders, but I work on the principle, hire it with your monthly Subscription. That way when they play up, you don't need to worry about warranties or having to buy a new one, you just call tell them its got a fault and get their backsides round to replace it.
Had that happen with the Old decoders a couple of times.![]()
We do not and have never had a Vodafone subscription (or Sky, or Spark Sport). The Vodafone TV box is internet-only.Looks like there's at least two Versions / Options.

I am not sure what you mean by Decoders, and what that enables / allows.
Thanks for any info - I always value your posts. You are a PF1legend.

The old Decoders were a a much larger Box, similar to Sky decoders
Like this one from Sky.
Remember once ours played up, the guy from Chorus came around Tested - its stuffed - brought in another - that wasn't working either, he cursed and swore, this is meant to be refurbished and working

As he stomped out to his van to get another, Saw him drop kick the decoder across the lawn in discus, breaking open, bits went flying. (Was quite a good kick actually)
When he came back I said "Saw you trip on the step going out " he laughedThat one wont be a problem again.
Even I find that remote to be annoying- it can detect brushes and movement like a trackpad but gets it wrong sometimes.
Thankfully I just use the remote app built in to the iphone; makes typing a dream.
I understand what you mean about being overly upmarket though- especially if you have been using something else for a long time, sometimes that's all you need![]()

Ken
We had Vodafone TV for all of one week.
The service/channel selection was useless. The help we received from VF was nil.
A shitty service.
A married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing!

From Memory the current Vodafone remote already has Voice Control Or was coming - Cant remember (the hole is there) BUT with some of the Things SWMBO would tell it to dogoing by what she says now when it plays up , I think its physically impossible for the TV to do
