Default Hollamd/Dozier/Holland - More number one hits than Lennon/McCartney

If you know anything about pop music, Iím certain you will have heard of the song writing team Holland/Dozier/Holland. who wrote countless huge US hits for such artists as The Supremes, The Four Tops and Martha and the Vandellas and has, to date, penned 54 global number ones. People praise Lennon and McCartney but even they never had a success rate such as that. As I recall, The Beatles had 20 number ones written by Lennon/McCartney.

Yes I really like songs by Holland/Dozier/Holland but The Beatles were great as well.

Here is a link to a series of hits by the Beatles Paul McCartney with him giving insight into the composition.

    I especially like this one:

And of course don't miss the Penny Lane one.

It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche
