    Default "Saved Pictures" folder still a problem in Windows 11?

    One of my pet hates in Windows 10, is that I have a folder called "Saved Pictures" as a sub-folder in My Pictures.
    If I deleted it, then it reappeared next time I booted up. Eventually, I discovered that I could 'hide' it by referring
    it to another drive on my desktop. Problem solved, for the moment! However, only having one drive on our laptop that does not work.

    I did a couple of searches, using the inverted commas around "Saved Pictures" and also "Windows 11", but no joy! No-one, in the whole wide world seems to suffer, the way if do .... width and depth!!

    Can anyone help ....... please!

    Its a System Folder, thats why it keeps coming back.

    The C:\Users\<user name>\Pictures\Saved Pictures folder is created by the Photos app. This folder is the default location for apps to save pictures. This folder is included by default in the Saved Pictures library.
    This is for W10, so may or may not work - use at your own risk, (suggestion) if you try export the Reg Keys 1st. You can find them by opening the reg file as edit to find the path(s) - Listed below as well

    Just looked the Paths are there in W11. the reg file adds "ThisPCPolicy"="Hide"

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\FolderDescriptions\{E25B5812-BE88-4bd9-94B0-29233477B6C3}\PropertyBag]
    "ThisPCPolicy"="Hide"

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderDescriptions \{E25B5812-BE88-4bd9-94B0-29233477B6C3}\PropertyBag]
    "ThisPCPolicy"="Hide"

    Apologies, wainui, for not responding earlier. We have very recently moved into a retirement village and are still getting acclimatised and living life in quite a new way. That would be part of the reason
    for my rather dramatised way of outlining the problem.

    Anyway, many thanks for the two links. Hope to find time this weekend to have a go at fixing using one of the methods described.
