Apparently the Special Tactics Group took him out.

These guys are a step up from the AOS - he must have been ringing some huge alarm bells to have them traipsing after him.

Well is Justice Sally Fitzgerald's Job on the line?

I recon I could make a very good case to hold her responsible.

Lock her up, an absolute liability,

Parliament makes the laws. The system has to apply them as they are not as they would like them to be so any blame as to why this individual was still out rests with Parliament which has a definate policy of keeping people out of jail. Under our system you cannot punish someone for what you think they are thinking they have to actually do something first. It would have been a lot cheaper to lock him up rather than follow him around 24 hours a day. Even better would have been to have deported him but then the goverment does not do things like that quite the reverse, they seem to collect as many shady refuges as possible and house them in preference to actual New Zealanders.

Made sure this time he wouldn't appear in Court again! Strict instructions and I bet every bullet was on target - no messing about!

No doubt you've all read the articles now....the negative and positive.

The police raised concerns “expressed increasing concern about the possible inadequacy of the legislation over this period”.
Ardern, on Friday evening, was insistent that it was “purely speculative to say whether or not any difference in our law ... would have made a difference in this case”.

The cops are "heros", well perhaps. He was under “heavy surveillance by specialist tactical officers” d
Not their fault but still......they weren't that close to the guy.............

Shaneena Balasundram was just metres away from the attack, after coming face-to-face with the 32-year-old terrorist.

"I went to Countdown and I was going through the dairy/milk aisle and this guy out of nowhere just started stabbing this lady out of nowhere, who was also looking in the dairy/milk aisle."

She said she felt helpless to do anything - not even flee.

"I'm so sorry I just froze. … He stabbed her again, 'Allahu akbar, allahu akbar'... when he looked at me, he didn't seem to be interested in me."

Tim, who did not want his last name used, said he saw an elderly man lying on the ground with a stab wound to his abdomen. Another victim, a middle-aged woman, was stabbed in the shoulder, he said.

As he left the store with other panicked shoppers, several police rushed in, some plain clothes, he said.
“The police came just before I was going to try and find the fulla.”

Michelle Miller was doing her afternoon shop when she saw the nightmarish scenes unfold.
The offender was “running around like a lunatic”, she said. “He was attacking people. All I heard was a lot of screaming.”

She fled the supermarket as police rushed in.

Well doesn't sound like they were following right behind him to me.

And whats wrong with our govts, both of them. Can't make a new law to stop this kind of thing? America would have in 5 minutes, they do...look at their airport procedures now....
Not to mention their sentences for offences.

Don't blame the Greens, they're not the majority.....now or before.
I think Jacinda will lose next time, lets see if National will get off their arse and change the law, remember he is not the only one they're watching, and this one is dead, but the others remain at large.

Kills me to say it, but she's firmly ensconced until NZ gets an opposition party. Seymour tries, but he could do with some support.

About the only good thing to come out of it is at least it wont be costing any more tax payer $$ for the 24/7 surveillance and costs in prison.

Given it was the STG that took him out the IPCA will probably spend 20mins on the case between zoom calls.

The terrorist lived in a Mosque in Waikaukau road Glen Eden which according to stuff is under guard by armed police.
So let me get this straight a Christian kills Muslims in Christchurch and the police guard mosques.
A Muslim attacks Christians and police guard mosques.
