The question is a bit of an irrelevancy - the odds are such that the chances of winning a major prize are hardly affected to any significant extent if you rely on finding the vital ticket blowing down the street.

I seriously Doubt either of those come onto PressF1 to read the posts here.

Tell ya what -- Write to them, and then wait to see if they reply and post their reply.

Perhaps. But it's not as though they are making any money at it. As I understand it, all profits (and there are plenty of profits) go to charity.

What do you mean, "just scrap it altogether"? I hope that you don't mean scrap life altogether, even though it is a gamble.

Why not most seem to be stuck in the past and hating life for some reason. I'm quite happy being at home always things to do.

I don't think there's any reason to postpone it, anyone who wants to gamble and can't or won't go online will just have to wait until the end of lockdown. In a way they are being forced to save some money.
There's no harm here, at all. What are they being denied? Since gamblers like odds why not calculate the odds that not gambling for a couple weeks will save or cost you money. The odds of losing are a bit harder to find than the odds of winning but it's something like 99.99999999...%(+some more 9s. dunno how many but I think it's a lot)

I won $27 dollars last night, even that was unlikely.

Or to look at it another way, why stop people who can gamble and want to for the sake of those who can't. You will be waiting just as long to buy a ticket regardless of if lotto continues or not.

    It's called 99.9% recurring - that's a lot!

it's not recurring, just a lot of decimal places. it is actually a finite number.
