None of which means that you will receive a significant form of punishment regardless of what you did.More to the point:
10 Years
You can be held criminally responsible if you kill someone.
12 Years
You can be criminally responsible for other serious crimes.
14 Years
You legally stop being a ‘child’ and become a ‘young person’. This means that you can be held criminally responsible for breaking any law.
About time we started again, regardless of age, for rapists, those who deliberately inflict permanent injury and murderers. Or if that seems too harsh, put them on a chain gang for life, digging the Cook Strait tunnel by hand. I'm guessing most would prefer to be hanged.
But don't let them start on a trans-Tasman tunnel
There's still a significant amount of 40-60 year olds getting away with a slap with a wet bus ticket for literally murder these days too. Now, if only we got rid of all the lawyers.....
I agree with you BM - good parenting and taking an interest in your children is key.
Priroska I understand what you have written but seldom is it enforced. Some sleazy lawyer will claim ' "poor disadvantaged etc " and soft judges will heed such pleas. Guess who reoffends.
Perhaps there should be children licences like gun licences
Children should grow on trees and be picked at age 35 when they have learned to be human.
I think the computer simulation may have a virus.
Nothing worked as well on me as a quick paddle on the bumski, now, sadly, criminalised.
