    Angry What a Howler.

    Unbelievable! HERE
    Global Warming is Mann made.

Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many.
    .
The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

As long as it helps someone, not seeing an issue, better than all the millions of taxpayer money that gets wasted on planning that comes to nothing

    You are not well.

If you think that giving a Gang $2.75M to do the family's garden is OK.

Especially, seeing the money they are receiving is what the Courts took off them for Proceeds of Crime.

$2.75m over 4 years is nothing. bookmarking $1 million to plan a plan about electrifying the train line from Waikanae to Levin, that's excessive waste of money to me. All those beaurocrats taking that money for something that probably won't get off the ground, that's a more serious waste of money to me.

And money from the proceeds of crime being put to use to try and prevent further crime. Good use, better than a lawyer or similar pocketing it

So we have Hospitals desperately in need of money and people everywhere waiting for General Surgery, Joint Replacements and the like, but you would rather give the money to the Mongrel Mob.

By all means you donate as much as you like of Your Money to the Mongrel Mob, but I don’t wish to donate anything.

I never said that. and think how little $2.75m over 4 years would do. Maybe 3 or 4 operations?

Yes, everyone is strapped for cash. Personally I blame the hardly necessary layers of beaurocracy who seem to exist only to line their pockets and create costly rules to justify their own existance. Think how much the hospitals would have saved if they hadn't spent all those billions on consultants in the last four years

Agreed. There will probably be very strong oversight and it’s not like much that the government is doing is working anyway. Happy to give it a chance.

What needs to be looked at is the cost per person successfully re-habbed
I heard that cost per person was ridiculously high . So some success , at too high a $ cost .
The program is working, and many are now working again. Better than on P & stealing.

    Govts all waste money .
Nearly $400k for a sculpture , in a govt depts lobby
    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/...4XO7Y27BTARCQ/

Would you rather spend the money on doing up a lobby in a govt building, or getting some people off P ?

It was in the news yesterday. It's a joke IMO.

"The programme involves participants working on a “community garden” on a Waipawa property that is home to Sonny Smith and his wife Mahinaarangi Smith, who is a programme facilitator.

The programme was awarded $2.75m over four years.

H2R Research and Consulting Ltd lists as its directors Angie Wilkinson and Mongrel Mob leader Harry Tam .

Participants will reside at Te Tapairu marae. They will be able to leave the marae to attend various activities around Hawke’s Bay.

These include “working in the kai māra (community gardens) at [Smith’s address]”, exercising at a gym in Waipukurau, “morning walks along the Mataweka River”, “a fishing trip on a boat on the Napier harbour”, and attending Narcotics Anonymous in Hastings."

Hilarious isn't it. Hang out at the bosses place, go fishing, attend their gym, life as usual pretty much while he collects money for it.

still cheaper than a flag referendum, or housing that amount of crims in prison for four years.
