    Default File Found.000

Running Win10 Pro latest version. My external HDD when connected to my TV shows a file Found.000. I had a problem with the HDD a little while ago but Win10 fixed it.

When attaching the Ext HDD to my desktop I cannot for the life of me find the file. I have gone to the view menu and it has the "show hidden files" ticked but it is a no show. Any help please?

Ignore it, they wont be of any use anyway.

They are files or part fragments of files / corrupt files that chkdsk found when Windows repairs its self or other files it repairs

They will be in a format that you cant read normally anyway.

Think of it (since you say TV show) as a clip with various chunks missing all over the place.

Don't worry about it if it no longer shows.

If you want to see the file in Windows you probably need to toggle the Explorer option "Hide protected operating system files" as well as viewing hidden files.

But whats the point ?? they will be completely useless as they are only the remains of damaged corrupt files.

I don't like folders or files hanging around if they serve no purpose. I can see that it is not causing interference but I would much prefer that it did not stay there forever.

I did in fact read it, that is how I was able to provide the correct answer...
Non-system disk or disk error. Replace and strike any key when ready.
