Yes but other people are being forced to take lessons. https://www.change.org/p/jacinda-ard...te&utm_term=csNo-one is being forced to do anything.
My GD had maori last year at school, she didn't mind, she had Mandarin too.
This year, High School, she has chosen Spanish.
Stop maori bashing.....they were here and are still here and I have no problem with those who wish to speak it, nor with bits being used on TV either.
And no-one is forcing me to to take lessons.

The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Jacinda and her team are like shining stars compared to any NZ politicians in the last 40 years.
Jacinda should be made P.M. in perpetuity. We are so lucky to have her.
What a great job she has done managing the pandemic, although they should have closed off Auckland weeks ago from the rest of the country, in fact they should have stopped any incoming people to NZ months ago, they've had long enough to get back.
We are all being put in danger by these random idiots coming back from all over the world from random known hotspots months after the writing was on the wall.
Now Auckland is a hotspot, crazy.

It's not the least charm of a theory that it is refutable. The hundred-times-refuted theory of "free will" owes its persistence to this charm alone; some one is always appearing who feels himself strong enough to refute it - Friedrich Nietzsche

It is hard to tell if you actually believe that or if you are being sarcastic.Jacinda and her team are like shining stars compared to any NZ politicians in the last 40 years.

To be happy with the current lot in power you would have to be a government employee or have some other form of secure income and own your own house or possibly just be living in fear of catching a virus which you most likely not even know you had caught unless you were tested for it.
Maybe give a little bit of thought to the poor sods who have to work to get paid so they can feed their family and pay the rent.
I am not suggesting any other party in power would be much better however everything the current lot touches turns to crap and the fact that none of them have ever had to work for a living in the real world is quite self evident.
Some problems have no solution, Jacinda and Co have done a good job of choosing the path of least damage.
Things are going to get worse not better, this is just the beginning of the decline.
Covid is going to get more contagious and virulent.
For CliveM to diminish the effect of the Covid virus when 500,000 people have already died in USA means that he is out of touch with reality.
I am 71 years old and have had asthma since I was a child also smoked quite a bit so I'm fairly sure i wouldn't survive the virus if I caught it.
People who get the virus and "recover" are mostly left with damage not easy to categorize but most people still manage to function with reduced capacity, which is not a good result also long term effects are not clear yet.
