The large time at the top is correct.
The "New Zealand" time on the next line is 4 hours behind.
    The "London" time is correct.

    What's going on?

That is odd. I only have the Large time at the top showing correctly on my PC an no additional times at all.

Ha! Trying to explain to you actually solved my problem.
Settings-Time and Language-add clocks for different times zones. There you can do what it says on the tin, and I had a zone set for Japan, but had it identified as "New Zealand". When I changed it the display corrected itself.
The reason for the extra time zones is that I have rellies in UK and a friend in Tokyo, and this enables me to to not call them in the middle of (their) night. If you hover over the time at bottom right of the notification area you will see the other times as well as if you click the date.
Why hadn't I noticed the error before? General antiquity and decrepitude, I suspect.

Thanks for that. I have never needed the extra times here so have not looked at that feature.
