It is better to wear out than to rust out.
- Richard Chamberlain, Tour of the Hebrides
Us husbands are a sorry lot.
You're a bit of a nightlark, I am off to bed at 8.30, up at around 5.30am though.
Tonight won't be any different.
Ken
No - can't remember the last time I saw in a New Year (and don't really care).
Ken - 8:30? Even I can't go to sleep that early despite getting up before 4am during the week to
be at work by 4:30! Usually just nodding off around 10pm. Look forward to my sleep in on the
weekend - 'til around 7am LOL rest of the family think I'm nuts (maybe I am).
I have just posted this sarky note through my next door neighbor's
letterbox at 4.30 am on New Years day. I wonder what reaction I will get:-
Karl, Happy New Year,
I wish to apologize for getting you out of bed several times
during the night due to all the noise I generated with music,
loud whooping and general disturbance. e.g. Dancing Queen,
David Bowie & Come On Eileen around 3.30 am.
Not quite as bad as the previous NY Eve when it was My,
My, My, Delilah at 4.30am but I realize that I should have a bit
more respect for my elderly next door neighbor and
promise you a more peaceful night next NY Eve.
The dividing walls and floors of our houses are do not
provide adequate sound insulation and I will bear this
in mind in the future.
It is now 4am, so you may as well stay up until dawn and
make up for a sleepless night by retiring early today.
I don't go to sleep then. I listen to music to midnight usually. I just happen to be beggared by then. I don't sleep well and cannot roll over in bed, so I sleep on my left side then get up when pain wakes me around 5-6am.No - can't remember the last time I saw in a New Year (and don't really care).

Other than that, same as, same as! Lucky are those who sleep through the night.

They have now gone to bed, so perhaps now would be the right time
for the bagpipes!
Was asleep by 10.30 last night which is a late night for me, was still awake at 6am though same as every day
I always sleep before 12am on New Years EveYes, there were noisy cars and fireworks. I guess for some they already failed their new year resolutions and it's only been 1 day in.
The sky has not fallen down, I am not a popstar. So what's different.
On NY Eve I ad a BBQ but I came back by 5pm. Most of the others stayed until midnight. No way was I gonna do that and talk about crap amongst ourselves.
