    Thanks.
By streaks , you mean parts of the print missing : if so get a new toner cart

If you see a haze, or lines down the page , or lines across the page (repeated 3x on the page) : get a drum

I posted a dropbox box link earlier on

It's BW laser MFC only, just used as a photocopier not quality critical. I was meaning "new" as in manufactured and never used? Ie it's not cleaned, not refurbished or refilled we had an issue with a Cartridge World toner which the drum was together with it all in 1 item. With our older printer.

Going by your image it could be a number of things.
As others have mentioned 3rd party drums and toners can cause issues like you are getting.
Also could just be the LSU (laser unit) needs cleaning or the charge needs cleaning.
Worst case you could have a faulty PCB (electronics).
Could even be damp paper, this can be tested by putting in fresh paper.

You maybe able to find a Service Manual on the internet, there are plenty of sites that might have one.

Only ever had the original toner with the printer and we bought 1 Brother brand toner 3 or 4yrs ago the high yield one. Might try a new toner.

I repeat, take the toner pack out of the printer and shake it, then try again.

The toner powder is a very fine powder and becomes compacted a bit like cement dust does when it's been sitting around for a while.

Bang it down carefully on something solid like a tree trunk judging how much impact you can use without breaking anything, better still an old car tyre or tube that is not hugely inflated, it's probably all gummed up in all the small tight orifices which it flows down when working correctly.

Try giving it more shakes from different directions at different speeds, I would do that outside in case something goes wrong and you have a leak.

Just went out to shake it.
There appears to be a grey background. This points to 3rd party toner or the development unit is stuffed.
Looks like the dev unit is part of the drum unit so replacing the drum unit and fitting a Brother toner would fix your problem.
Myself I would empty the dev unit and tone it up with Brother toner (assuming it is monocomponent toner) . A messy job, but could save you a few dollars.
Just replacing the toner will not fix the problem as it will take ages for the 3rd party toner to bleed out of the system.
