As long as its actually a .pst, theres a scanpst.exe in the Office folder:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/repair-outlook-data-files-pst-and-ost works for Office 2007 onwards ( including 365)
I thought PST files were a thing of the past . Do you still use POP3 email rather than IMAP??

All my email accounts are OST these days. Microsoft and Orcon. Orcon used to be a PST when it was POP3 but I changed it to IMAP and it's now an OST.

I use Colour Categories extensively which OST format does not feature despite Microsoft Community members over a long period asking for that feature.
My brief period trying o cope with OST hugely frustrated me. Eventually i manged to get back to POP which was a great relief.
Previously Microsoft Engineers tried to create a workaround in OST to enable Colour Categories for me. They had to give up
