It must be running in the background, use task manager to exit the app completely.
See if you don't have an icon in the taskbar which you have overlooked, it should be right-clicked and select what you want, exit or show.

Damn!! Now it is happening to me also. I think there is a monkey in their recent upgrade
Opened Task Manager and found 6 versions open. Removed all and programme is now running again.

It's now working OK. Tried several times, close, open, close, open .. works fine...
But for how long, ask Trump ...Trump: It's all China's fault!
Mine came back to work normally the same evening of the day it would not open.
I went out for a few hours and had turned laptop off. When i restarted that evening -all ok
Still working Ok today so i am pleased - no idea of why initial update caused no access issue
