Saw these 2 items today. I know that his salary is not a large percentage of the wage bill, but God help the stupidity of the company doing this. Especially when they got a large handout from the govt. wage subsidy during the Covid-19 Level 4 lockdown ($67.8M)

They've been sacking people for years now...one friend still there...she's dodged the last 6 redundancies......everything is outsourced now, they all got pay decreases a while back (except the bigwigs of course), and now they buy this?

I wonder why they don't just dump the lot, recycle the questions, have a screen and students can read the material from home, then take the test and they're done. No need for classrooms, tutors or anything. That would leave loads of money for the top few to sit in their comfy mansions and do whatever the hell it is they do.

Not the way the Post Office hierarchy would do it; they would raise the fees and cut the service as fast as they raise the workload and reduce the income of the peasants. It works just fine for the gentry upstairs.

May I suggest that some of the larger Companies have seized upon the opportunity to rid themselves of “Dead Wood”?

It is nearly impossible to “Sack” anyone these days, so Covid19 is an excellent excuse to rid oneself of the “Drongo’s” and then redeploy the ones you want.
