    Default Mouse freezing issue

So I woke up to a problem today, the mouse is freezing.

Its a Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum
The software is fully up to date as are the drivers, I even checked the firmware and it was all good.
None of them are new either, all old proven drivers and software.

The mouse is freezing when it is wireless, soon as you plug it in it unfreezes.
I unplug it and a little while later it freezes again.

Computer has been restarted several times and nothing seems to help.

    Any ideas?

When my Logitech mouse behaved like yours I ended up swapping out the little USB receiver for a new one and that fixed it.

Mine isn't one of the models with a unifying receiver.
Another one might work but I don't have one to test it with.
Just strange that is never done this before.

Are they rechargeable batteries?, try using standard type. Rechargeables go "soft" after a while and even though they seem fully charged they are not capable of giving high milli-amps when required.

The fact that all works ok when on usb says to me that it is a power problem related to the batteries. Spin the batteries in the compartment they sometimes build up oxides on the contacts.

    Could have just gone faulty.

I've seen wireless keyboards, mice etc just fail over time before.

Not sure what happens, maybe the RF circuitry drifts in frequency and can't communicate anymore.

No batteries or compartment, its a sealed unit.
There are batteries in there of course but you can't change them.

Have you tried completely uninstalling the Mouse as well as the Software ? Sometimes software corruption may be a cause. You may need another std USB mouse temporally to do it.
Just found this - No idea if its any help or not https://www.sleewee.com/device-not-r...-gaming-mouse/

How old is the Mouse in question?
