I don't install spyware.
It's only spyware if it can report back somewhere. For instance My printer isn't on the network, never mind the net.
Remember the entire internet is a public noticeboard and everything that passes though it.
This post for instance.
Or your emails....

but your printer drivers ARE on the network , via your PC.
SOME printer drivers phone home with info about what & when youve been printing. This first happened(or first detected) many years ago, and was back then labled spyware & treated as
no better than any other malware . Things have changed, its accepted as the norm now.
Even TV's have been caught recording conversions and that info was sent off to 3rd parties
Well said, my Canon MG6250, tells me too often "don't turn your printer off, it's sending a report".but your printer drivers ARE on the network , via your PC.

Got it installed, don't care if the govt know where I go.
If People are worried about that sort of thing they better leave their smart phones at home when they go out as that tracks you everywhere, can tell you when and where you went, how long it took and various other information. Google and apple can pin point your location to within about 3 mtrs.
Want an example - I zoomed out but zooming in gives many details, heres where I went a few weeks back during the day.
