How much should I sell my 'old' tower for?

Although in normal circumstances this tower would have done me fine for years yet, I bought a new one that would cope with my heavy demands
whilst using Affinity Photo. These are the specs - I transferred the HDD to my new one, with all my photos, etc. The new one also has an SSD, so the 'old'
SSD remains with the 'old' tower. I know that I won't get anything near what it is really worth, so how much is realistic please?

Go on Trademe and look, not at listings for sale, but search the expired listings and see what people actually got for similar age systems.
That will tell you.

Depreciation is pretty high on electronics..

Going by the CPU, this is 8 years old. You could replace everything with newer for under $600.

Unfortunately , its worth begger all. Better spec brand name PC's can sell for around $150 ish
I have the same spec CPU in my main home PC . It does the job but AM3+ is very much obsolete .

be happy if you can get $150 , you might get a lot more (trademe bidding war) , or you might only get $100 , and you'd want/need to find a local buyer .
It could be worth more in parts , but will be more of a pain splitting up & selling separately .

Really? Quite likely the PSU is fine. The case will be. Rather radical to chuck the lot.

The motherboard & CPU do have a worthwhile value on trademe, despite being obsolete . Might get $40 ,$50+ just for the AM3 motherboard . Older AM3 mb's can get flaky so people want to
buy a used replacement . I know this as Ive looked for used AM3 boards in the past, they sometimes sell for more than they should be worth (more than I'd want to pay).
