    I think I'm out of luck. If I start Google Maps under IE It is very erratic and just doesn't work properly. If I try to download Chrome on the phone, that doesn't seem to happen either. Remember this is Windows mobile 8.1 we are talking about - basically dead, buried and not supported.

    Perhaps you can find an alternative site to download it from?

    That's worth a look. I'm not going to spend a heap of time on it though - it was only ever a nice-to-have after I unexpectedly re-discovered the phone.
