My computer dies, again & my computer guy found me a computer h refuburshed & installed a SSD C drive
I installed my trusted Comodo that I have used for many a year but slowed everything down, so I removed it
I have a pain malwarebytes 7 was thinking all I need is a good quility fire wall.
Seem they all all virus as well now.
Does anyone know of a trusted stand alone fire wall?

What makes you think the win 10 firewall needs replacing?

IMHO you are trying to fix something by cluttering your computer with dubious overheads it doesn't need.

Just let Windows Defender have a go all on its own.

Simply I just unsure how secure microsofts antivirus is.

If you want something that Really does work either ESET Smart Security OR ESET Internet Security, it has the Antivirus as well as a firewall. Its not Free but is well worth it.

The firewall when set to inactive mode as Below:



Can actually be a Pain till you get all the programs etc allow / Deny in or out permissions. It will Stop EVERYTHING until you tell it what to do, and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING, you'd be surprised how many programs want in /out. If set to Automatic Mode (Default) you wont get many requests to allow / Deny traffic of known programs.
