    Default CAD program

I am looking for a reasonably priced CAD program. I had a shareware program many years ago, so long ago that I have forgotten its name. Then I purchased Imagineer Technical, which was very good but expensive (about $1000) while I was still working, then after updating to WinXP it stopped working. At that stage I got Vector Engineer, which has now disappeared from the market.

    Has anyone any suggestions?

Theres plenty of Free ones about take your pick ,, you can try them if not suitable nothing lost. https://all3dp.com/1/best-free-cad-s...ograms-design/

The trend these days is NOT an outright purchase of programs so some that may suit ( Paid) are on subscriptions, monthly / Yearly etc.

Quick Question, What type of CAD work are you wanting to do / carry on with.?? There LOTS of low priced ( or Free) Some are 3D, Technical, Home Design and may more options ???

As an example just got a free license key for Ashampoo Home design 5. https://www.ashampoo.com/en/usd/psr/.../home-design-5

Pro grade program free for home use, it is as good as Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor, my son is using it to design an aircraft and for his his business but he has a tie in to the company. But he told me the paid version is no different to the free version just can't use the free one for a business application

I came across this one by chance, don't know anything about it but it looks promising:

Yep what I linked to, I have been using it a bit as have used Solidworks for some stuff but that certainly isn't free by a long shot. Fusion is just as powerful
