I searched for the L55-C5392 and up came the L55 video which I assumed to be
for that model unaware of the many variations, Thanks.

Yeah its VERY easy to do. Had one Computer looked up the actual Code on the keyboard, went to order and wouldn't ya know it -- Two VERY similar products with the same code

Thankfully the parts weren't expensive, when contacting the supplier he sent both saying return the one that's not correct.

Have a ring around & get some quotes.
We send laptops out to an Ak Laptop repair specialist, as the cost for the whole job is about the same as our cost of kb's anyway .

They arnt hard to do .
Splitting the case open will sound like plastic breaking, so be prepared for that . Its just the sound of all the plastic tabs being forced to unclip . :-)
Also , make sure you remove ALL the screws . Look for a how to page that shows all the screws and their locations. Its easy to miss a screw thats in an unexpected place (under rubber feet or under a label etc)

WOULDN"T recommend the Op taking this one apart -- looks like it may be like one I have here, to get to the keyboard to replace it you have to COMPLETELY dissemble the laptop, remove motherboard all internal components --- everything.

Like a lot of laptops these days, the Bottom Cover comes off and all the internals are actually connected to the top cover.

I get components from Aliexpress as well sometimes, the only real downside is the time it takes for them to arrive, but sometimes when $$ is a concern the waits worth it. The exact same part can cost many times more in NZ.
