Perhaps just roll the mouse wheel at any position across the screen?
Thats all I do, as well, works fine.
I dont think you can change the scroll bar to the left in Edge / chrome. there's LOTS of requests for the option ( guess it would be better for left handed people) Other wise use Firefox, there's an option the following site explains how https://www.askvg.com/how-to-move-sc...la-firefox-30/
thanks for replies. I use the Firefox left scrollbar option and work with mouse wheel and scrollbar. My mouse wheel is set for only two lines though as I find it hard on my eyes scrolling more than than. Other browsers seem to ignore requests for a left side option.
Think this my do what you want (to a degree) Theres a Addon that is designed for Chrome called Scrollanywhere.
Go to Google, Search for Scrollanywhere Chrome
Just installed it in Edge and works fine.
I Changed the settings to allow Left click - Hold down the pointer ANYWHERE on the page and it will scroll up and down.
When you download it make sure you get the version with the Green up/Down Arrow. The 1st on the list is a different version and didn't work anywhere as good.
Bit of a rough Video 1.38 long, showing installing and real basic usage. Once the addon is activated darting all about , (was watch TV at the same time)But you can see the left click button by the mouse Icon. Of course you can alter settings to suit your needs. Hope its of some help.
Have a gander at the videohttps://streamable.com/156jr4
