Many thanks for your help - especially you, Wainui. I have just got around to doing the 'fix' as per your #8 posting. I was footering around with some camera club stuff (and a little nervous...).
I decided that today was the day, and a it has all gone to plan - so thanks to you all.
Just one other thing, I have forgotten how to post a .jpg pic on the siteIt would have made my explanations about the content of said files much easier to get a 'picture', so to speak.

One of the Best / Biggest things you can do at any time is make a complete backup of the whole system BEFORE you start, esp if mucking ( or Fiddling) so if something does go wrong at least you can put it back to how it was. ( learn't that the hard way - from experience)
